Christian Initiation of Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a series of meetings held here at St. Francis de Sales Parish for persons interested in becoming members of the Catholic faith.
We welcome all who are interested, they include persons who have never been Baptized in any faith. Persons who were Baptized in another religion. Persons who were Baptized as infants in the Catholic faith but who never made their First Holy Communion or the Sacrament of Confirmation. All are welcome to come and find out what the Catholic religion is all about. With divine guidance, these people might choose to embrace the Catholic faith. Meetings will be in the Parish Center, 13360 Valleyheart Dr., Sherman Oaks. If you are interested in becoming a Catholic, or if you know of someone else who might be interested in gathering with us on a Tuesday evening, please call Jeannie Bas at the Parish Center 784-0105 and leave your name a telephone number. One of the group leaders of the RCIA program will call you and give you further information should you have questions to ask.

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, this ancient process - recently restored - is the learning process by which adults become members of the community of faith we call Church. It is open to the un-baptized, Christians baptized in other faiths, and Catholics who lack one or more of the sacraments.
