Are you a Catholic who has left or drifted away from the Church and who would now like to return to the Church and the sacraments? Or are you someone who has returned to the Church and would like to share the experience with others?

Landings is a Paulist program for returning Catholics coordinated by previously returning Catholics. Through a series of weekly meetings that provide ample opportunities to communicate by speaking and asking questions, Landings provides a supportive community where returning Catholics can explore their faith and future within the Church. This contemporary approach gives all an insight into the actual faith lives of others.
We are now seeking potential participants for Landings 2008, our next series of meetings that will start in the Spring. You can participate as either someone who has previously returned to the Church or as a Catholic seeking to return.

Landings FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q.  What is Landings?

A.  Landings is a program developed by a Paulist priest that provides an avenue to allow “lapsed” Catholics to return to active participation in the Church and the sacraments.  This is done through a series of meetings that explore issues of faith and allow attendees to relate their faith history. Through listening, participating and interacting with others who had previously lapsed and have already returned, attendees are encouraged to pursue their own return.

Q.  Who is eligible to participate in the Landings program?

A.   We are seeking two types of participants, those who have “lapsed” from the Church and are seeking a path to return and those who previously “lapsed” and have already returned

Q.  How many meetings are there and how long do they take?

A.   There are approximately 8 meetings and they each last between 1 ½ to 2 hours.  

Q. Where do the meetings take place?

A.  They will take place in the Parish Center adjacent to the church.

Q.  When is the next series of meetings?

A.  The next series of meetings is due to start right after Easter which this year is March 23rd, 2008.  In the past the meetings have been on Saturday just prior to the 5pm Mass in the Parish Center.

 Q.  Does it cost anything?

A.  No, there is no cost to participants but we take turns providing snacks for the breaks at the meetings.
