The St. Francis De Sales Contemporary Folk Group

Directed by Ken & Patti Mabie

The St. Francis De Sales Contemporary Folk Group began in 2003, under the direction of Ken and Patti Mabie.  The Mabie’s have been involved in contemporary services since they met at St. Marks University Parish in Santa Barbara in 1977. 

Our mission is to provide contemporary  music , accessible to the congregation, which complements the  liturgy and promotes personal prayer and spiritual growth.

The Contemporary Folk Group consists of musicians and singers in a wide age range, many of whom also sing with the classical adult choir on Sunday mornings.

Our group is delighted to provide a contemporary music setting at the 5:00pm Saturday Mass, which is usually scheduled on the second Saturday of the month.

We encourage and welcome new members to share their love of music and spirit in Christ with the St. Francis De Sales congregation.  Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings at 7:00pm in the church.  For further information, please contact Patti Mabie  at (818) 345-4979.
